Which location does The Beauty Nanny work in the most?
The Beauty Nanny is a professional mobile hairstylist Monday- Saturdays from 7a til. Hair services at clients locations are limited to Cranial Prosthetics or Hair Units, Extensions and natural hairstyles. Major chemical services are performed at LocArt Studio in Stone Mountain on Saturdays 48 hours in advanced.

Does The Beauty Nanny come to any other state than Georgia or is there someone she can refer me to in my area?
We are working on building a list of skilled stylists in different states to accommodate others. However, should time permit The Beauty Nanny travels out of state, contact 404-919-3751 for travel deals and out of state booking.
How do I make a Hair Unit Appointment?

If you have alopecia, please email us with pictures of your hair currently BEFORE you book your appointment. We will schedule a consultation from there.
What is a custom hair unit?
A custom hair unit, commonly referred to as a “man weave”, or "hair piece" is a hair extension for men and women who are thinning or experiencing hair loss due to aging, alopecia or an illness such as cancer or lupus etc.
How does the hair unit stay in place?
A protectant, and medical grade adhesive made for hair, is used to keep the unit in place.
How long does the process take?
The process takes up to 4 hours. If you are traveling please allow and plan enough time just in case there may be some delays with the schedule.
Where is The Beauty Nanny located/which shop do you do the units?
The Beauty Nanny is first and foremost a professional mobile hairstylist Monday- Fridays from 10a til. Hair services at clients locations are limited to Hair Units, Extensions and natural hairstyles. Chemical services are performed at LocArt Studio in Stone Mountain on Saturdays by appointment only. Please call for Saturday appointments with at least 2 day advance notice.
Do the units come in different colors?
The units are available in jet black (1), off black (1B), natural brown, salt and pepper (amount of grey hairs can be adjusted to your liking, and blonde (613). They are raw human hairs and can be dyed.
Is an in-person consultation possible or required?
Yes! Still be prepared to upload 3 pictures of your hair currently (front, back and side poses) and your desired style. If you have alopecia, please email us with pictures of your hair currently BEFORE you book your consultation.
Are loc/braid/twist and long hair unit options available?
Yes!
How long do the units last?
Units can last up to 1 year depending on regular maintenances and at home care. The service ($700+) includes units price and the cost is depending on any additionals needed.
Can I order the hair unit and have it shipped to me?
Yes you can! Please contact me for further instructions.
Should I purchase and supply my own hair?
We provide everything you need at the appointment.
Can I get the unit wet (e.g., exercising, shower, rain, etc.)?
You can perform your daily activities with the hair unit, including exercising; however, we do not recommend excessive exposure to water. The more exposure to water, the loser the unit will become (this includes sweating). In the event of excessive sweating, you can purchase the adhesive for the unit during your appointment with The Beauty Nanny.
Can the unit be taken off, washed, and reapplied?
Yes, all units can be removed and reapplied at your next Maintenance appointment with Sheena, The Beauty Nanny.
How do I maintain the unit if I live in a different state and cannot travel back and forth to The Beauty Nanny regularly?
When you arrive for your appointment, we will show you how to maintain the style and answer any questions you have. After care instructions are sent via email as we wrap the end of your service. We can also provide tips and instructions for your local barber/stylist. For referrals in your area, please email INFO@THEBEAUTYNANNY.COM
Can I get a regular shape up with the hair unit?
Yes, you can still get a regular shape up as often as needed to maintain the style.
Will my insurance cover the cost of the unit if I have alopecia?
Coverage varies from state to state. Please contact your insurance company prior to your appointment to discuss what your individual plan covers. Clients are responsible for any amount not covered by insurance.
Is a deposit required to make an appointment?
At this time, we require a nonrefundable deposit of 40% the payment in order to secure hair unit appointments.
I have Alopecia and/or I’m completely bald; how do I book my appointment?
Please send 3 photos of your hair currently (front, back and side poses) to info@thebeautynanny.com so we can first evaluate your area of recession. Please send your desired style.
If I need to cancel or reschedule, what happens to my deposit?
You can reschedule by calling 404-919-3751 or cancel via the link in your confirmation email. Please note that all deposits are nonrefundable. To avoid losing your deposit, you must contact us to reschedule within 72 hours of your appointment.

How much is it to attend the Cranial Prosthetics Workshop?
$2500 per person. $1500 for cosmetology students. There is a $1000 nonrefundable deposit required which goes toward the final balance.
Do you have to have a license to take the Hair Unit Class?
No, but please check your local state licensing requirements for operating as a barber or with Cranial Prosthetics, or Hair Unit installations to ensure you’re well informed.
Do I need to bring a model or tools to the in-person class?
No, everything you need will be provided on the day of class. However, If you are doing a one on one training with Sheena you will need to bring your clippers, tools and a live model unless otherwise discussed prior to.
If I miss a class that I've paid for, or want to switch to another class, can I do that?
Yes you're allowed to reschedule one time. Please info@thebeautynanny.com to do so.
When is the remainder of the registration fee due?
At the class (cash or credit card — no checks, please). If you’d like to pay in advance, you may arrange it by emailing info@thebeautynanny.com.
Will I learn where to purchase the units or receive a certificate of completion for the class?
Yes, both are provided for the class.
